Technical Briefings Program
Tuesday May 19, 2015
The ICSE Technical Briefings program provides conference participants with the opportunity to gain new insights, knowledge, and skills in a broad range of areas of software engineering.
The formula of Technical Briefings provides a venue for communicating the current trends in a timely topic related to software engineering. As opposed to in-depth tutorials in more mature fields, Technical Briefings provide a compact introduction to the state-of-the-art in an emerging area.
Of the 25 received proposals, the 10 ones dealing with the most fresh and relevant topics for an ICSE audience have been selected. All TB proposals were reviewed by 3 members of the TB Committee to guarantee relevance and quality.
Technical Briefings will take place in 90-minute slots on the day before the main ICSE conference (Tuesday May 19, 2015). There will be three parallel tracks for a total of 10 briefings (see schedule below). In the more traditional tutorial model, attendees had to commit to just one topic for a whole or half day. With the Technical Briefings program, registrants can instead attend four full technical briefings in just one day or hop between all ten. On registering for the TBs, attendees do not have to decide in advance which technical briefings they will attend, and they get all this for just one price!
